CPA 2024 Board of Directors Call for Nominations

Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 19, 2024.

The Colorado Psychological Association (CPA) is seeking nominations for five open Board positions. We are asking our members to nominate themselves, or a colleague(s) to help shape the future of our State association and the industry. 

OPEN CPA BOARD OF DIRECTOR POSITIONS: 

  1. (1) One President-Elect (3-Year Term: 2024-2027; one year as President-Elect; one year as President; one year as Past President)
    Brief Position Description: The President-Elect sits on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Psychological Association and, as a voting member of the Board of Directors, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. The President-Elect performs the duties of the President in his/her temporary absence or disability. The President-Elect shall be the Chair of the Policies & Procedures Committee. (During the term, the President-Elect is advanced into the President and then Past-President board seat during the 2nd and 3rd years respectively).
  2. (2) Two Members At Large (3-Year Term: 2024-2027)
    Brief Position Description: The Member at Large is a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Psychological Association, and, as such, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. 
  3. (1) One Member At Large Non-Metro Representative (3-Year Term: 2024-2027)
    Brief Position Description: The Member at Large is a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Psychological Association, and, as such, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. This member shall live and work outside the Denver metropolitan area. According to the Denver Chamber of Commerce, metro communities consists of seven counties – Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson.
  4. (1) RxP Chair (3-Year Term: 2024-2027)

    Brief Position Description: The RxP Board Member is a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Psychological Association and, as such, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. The RxP Board Member is the chair of the Prescriptive Authority Division, an Affiliate/Division of the Colorado Psychological Association.
