2020 CPA Board of Directors & Dr. Sarah Burgamy APA Citizen Psychologist Award: Call For Nominations

2020 Board of Directors 

 The Colorado Psychological Association (CPA) is seeking nominations for five open Board leadership seats: 

  • President-Elect 
  • SAMD Representative
  • Non-Metro Representative
  • Member at Large (2)

1. President Elect (3-Year Term)

Brief Position Description: The President-Elect sits on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Psychological Association and, as a voting member of the Board of Directors, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. The President-Elect performs the duties of the President in his/her temporary absence or disability. The President-Elect shall be the Chair of the Policies & Procedures Committee. (During the term, the President-Elect is advanced into the President and then Past-President board seat during the 2nd and 3rd years respectively).

2. SAMD Chair

Brief Position Description: The SAMD Board Member is a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Psychological Association and, as such, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. The SAMD Board Member is the division chair of the Society for the Advancement of Multiculturalism and Diversity (SAMD), an Affiliate/Division of the Colorado Psychological Association. 

3. Non-Metro Representative

Brief Position Description: The Non-Metro Representative is a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Psychological Association, and, as such is part of the policy setting body of the Associatio with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations as set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. The Non-Metro Representative lives and works outside of the Metro Denver area and represents the rural membership of Colorado. 

4. Member at Large (3-Year Term) - Two Positions Open

Brief Position Description: The Member at Large is a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Psychological Association, and, as such, is part of the policy-setting body of the Association, with authority over the affairs and funds of the Association within the limitations set by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.

Additionally, CPA is looking for nominations for our Dr. Sarah Burgamy APA Citizen Psychologist Award:

 
This award is given to a psychologist who demonstrates not only through their daily professional endeavors, but through public service, advocacy, volunteerism, board membership, elected office, and/or beyond, their commitment to the people of Colorado and improving the lives of all members of society with passion, ethics and commitment.
