My training as a clinician was preceded by years of university teaching and research into the basic processes that underlie habitual behavior.  After receiving my doctorate in Learning and Developmental Psychology, I earned a Master's degree in Counseling and then a Respecialization in Clinical Psychology, which is, essentially, a doctoral-level "second major" completed after earning the Ph.D.  I have worked for nearly 20 years in community mental health centers and in counseling centers, where I have seen people with a very wide variety of issues and problems, and now have opened a private practice in Centennial.
