Call for Poster Submissions

The Colorado Psychological Association (CPA) conference provides an opportunity for practitioners, researchers, and students of psychology to share research and ideas that foster the development of the field.  CPA strives to create an opportunity for current and future psychologists to convene and network around common interests.

This announcement serves as the formal call for poster submissions for the CPA Fall Conference on September 21, 2012.  Poster presentations provide a forum for psychologists and students with relevant mental/behavioral health research to engage in active discussion with other conference participants about a completed research project or about a project in developing stages.

Poster presenters will display their research on a large bulletin board during several open poster sessions throughout the day.

Poster Proposal Submissions

Proposals should include: (1) a clear statement of the purpose or goals of the research (Introduction); (2) a description of the methodology used (Methods); (3) main findings (Results) and; (4) the theoretical and/or practical significance and implications of the research (Discussion). Exceptions to this format are possible for theoretical or other non-traditional poster submissions.

Please limit your submission to one page. The deadline for poster submissions is April 30, 2012. Please email your submission and any questions to Mimi McFaul, Psy.D., mmcfaul@wiche.edu.

Individuals will be notified about the status of their submission on or by May 15, 2012.  Awards for free registration (to be reimbursed) will be made to one professional poster and one student poster for outstanding submission and display.
